Our vision
Every year, thousands of children across the UK experience abuse, neglect, or trauma—experiences that can shape their lives forever. At the NSPCC, we believe every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, supported, and heard.
We’re the UK’s leading charity dedicated to child protection. Since 1884, we’ve been working to prevent abuse, support recovery, and campaign for lasting change to keep children safe. From our Childline service to our work in schools, social care, and national policy, we’re here to stand up for children when no one else will.
Our services reach children and families in communities across the country, offering practical and emotional support, therapeutic care, and guidance tailored to each unique situation. Whether it's helping a child recover from trauma, supporting a parent in crisis, or giving a young person someone to talk to—we’re there, every step of the way.
In 2023 alone, Childline delivered over 160,000 counselling sessions, and our Helpline responded to more than 70,000 contacts from adults worried about a child. But our work goes far beyond the numbers. Each interaction is a moment of care, a chance to break a cycle, and a step toward a safer future.
At the NSPCC, we know that real change happens when people come together. Every volunteer, donor, staff member and supporter plays a role in transforming childhoods.
